Ten electors have come forward to request that an election is held to fill the current Carterton Town Council vacancy. If the election is contested a poll will take place for Rock Farm ward electors (Electoral Polling area FM-Carterton North West No.1) on Thursday 23 July 2026.
Candidate nominations are available from the Returning Officer at the Council Offices, Woodgreen, or the Carterton Town Clerk, Town Hall. The deadline for submission of valid nomination applications is 4pm, Monday 29 June 2026.
